I think this is a smart move. She basically needs to be using every digital outlet she can. One thing that I think would be a huge help would be to completely
take down the website and simply replace it with a nice splash page with links to her myspace, twitter, etc. Personally, I think this is much better than
keeping the site up as outdated as it is because it at least drives visitors to places where there is actually current information. If the website is the only
place a certain percentage of the casual fans go, then basically to them it looks like you're MIA.
That mini-rant said, I personally have no use for Twitter (see: old guy) so I'll count on some of you folks to post any relevant info she might twit (or whatever the kids call it) in this fine forum.

I've already looked at Gemma's Twitter page more than every other Twitter page combined...
does anyone think Gemma's really a big 'treasure hunt' fan? I mean, there's an obvious void there where "I'm playing a gig tonight" or something like that, could have gone in. Maybe she wants her fans to stalk her, to work out where they can catch up with her.
just have to give it more time, I suppose. (http://twitter.com/gemmahayes is no more exciting thus far!)

For someone who takes months to update her blog, having a Twitter account just seems...counter-intuitive to me. But right on! Twitter is a shorter format and
probably more manageable, so hopefully it'll get her talking a bit more regularly.

I don't twitter myself, but I have subscribed to the RSS feed of Gemma's twitter and plugged it into my iGoogle homepage. How handy.
