From what I know, I think they're regarded a bit like Peel Sessions were over here (except in an hour long studio concert type format and, usually, by more established artists) I've got performances by a number of bands on my pc at home - but the recording I've got of the set Gemma did is probably my favourite as the sound quality is superb! Posts: 123 (11/08/08 08:14:26) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	interesting, i thought that the host of the black sessions was somebody else. bernard lenoir is the name that is coming to mind, but i might be misremembering things. in any case, i also thought that zegut's program was a different thing as well. maybe he just "borrowed" a few songs from the black session for his broadcast? i don't know. in any event, i would love to hear gemma's complete black session! that is the one download that's been posted here in the past (way back at the start of the thread in fact!) which i am missing. thanks in advance! don't look at me sideways don't even look me straight-on

Channel M.....can't remember, think it's an audio capture of a performance she did on Channel M once. Posts: 127 (11/11/08 19:23:49) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	i dunno, i love live music so i'm fond of complete concerts. while this applies to some artists more than others (and truth be told gemma might not be one of them), i definitely think of each performance as unique and as an album to itself. that said...i'm not a completist and find myself being more and more selective about what live recordings i do obtain...but since there are really so few of gemma's out there (compared to, say, led zeppelin), it's worth at least giving all at least one listen. don't look at me sideways don't even look me straight-on
